Anyone know of a source for a complete tail cap? Can't seem to find one, dealing directly with Fenix seems near impossible, and my LD10 has lost turbo and flickers badly. When I jump the tail with metal everything seems fine, so the problem is isolated in the tail. Any ideas?

I'd try Fenix parts from 4Sevens.  The usual cost of switches is about $6.

Thanks, I did check there first but it seems the retaining ring in my cap is glued in place, so I thought I'd try for a complete cap before dunking this one in boiling water to loosen it up. I'm somewhat disappointed in the Fenix as it has never been abused or clicked excessively. I have cheapo DX lights with many more cycles on the caps that have lasted longer. I've read a few other threads about Fenix issues, and am hoping mine is an isolated event.

FWIW, I have a L1P that I got used, I carried it for several years, and my little kids got ahold of it many many times.  You know how destructive kids can be...and it still survives to this day on the original switch I got it with.  My oldest kidlet now uses it at a flashlight for night time.  My old used L1DCE did have a switch fail, but I got the 6$ replacement, and it still runs fine.  I gave it away to my Mom this summer.

You can try heating the tailcap with a hairdryer instead of hot water.  A lot less messy that way.

I tried with something a little more robust- a pair of old needle nose pliers that I ground down. I got the ring to turn about 1/2 turn before it would not budge-after being heated. I got a nice pinch blood blister in the process that popped when I re-tightened the ring, and viola! Turbo is back, and flickering gone. Hope I didn't release a blood hungry demon into my LD10  evil!

Seriously, still looking for a replacement for the long term.

If you have a FRY's electronics close by, they sell a 1AA camo light for ~$6 if I remember correctly. The body, head and tail cap all fit exactly on the Luxeon series Fenix. I destroyed the head on my L2P trying to change the LED. It's not as long though so the original pill and reflector won't fit inside but I made due regardless. The switch fits and works perfectly. The guts of the tail cap are non-removable though so either give it a paint job or live with a camo tail cap. Good luck. I think LightHound still sells the L1P bodies and tail caps.

Sorry, I didn't read your model correctly. You said LD10 which I believe has different threads from thr original L1P/L2P series so I don't know if the light I described would fit. Maybe someone who knows all things Fenix could chime in.

When and where was it bought?
